I sing this every Tuesday, because I remember it from the Mickey Mouse Club. Glenna sings it with me! She even does the "wah-wah" trombone part. :-)
Today, I want you to check out a guest star. Mark Driscoll is a pastor at Mars Hill (not the one associated with Rob Bell) and he did an EXCELLENT sermon on women and femininity. The audio sermon is 90 minutes long, so turn up your speakers or put your lap top in your room and clean out your closet, drawers, under your bed, etc while you listen. This is highly recommended for women ages 16 and up (or, Moms can listen first and decide for themselves).

It's so freeing to be reminded of the role God has given to us as women! I feel like everybody and everything at school is screaming the opposite.
Some of the looks I get when people find out I want a family more than a career! It's as if I'm the strange one.

I agree with you, and he talked about how devalued the home has become over the market place. I have faced this myself. I had a woman actually say to me when I was pregnant with Glenna, "You haven't worked for seven years? Sheesh." (Oh yeah? Well, now I haven't "worked" for almost TWENTY YEARS! Take THAT!)

Loved the sermon! I often listen to Mark. He has such fresh and "not afraid to offend" truths to share. This one was a wonderful reminder of God's view of womanhood. Thank you for sharing.
