How to watch a movie

1. Make sure the dogs have water and food.

2. Take the dogs outside.

3. Fight for the best spot on the couch.

4. Pull rank if you don't win the best spot.

5. Get youngest child to put movie in.

6. Wrestle remote from oldest daughter. Laugh.

7. Stop dogs from wrestling and being LOUD.

8. Holler for oldest child, tell him movie is going to start.

9. Stop dogs from wrestling and being LOUD.

10. Oldest child says he's not watching this one. Spread out on couch because we don't need to save a place for him.

11. Put one of the dogs in their kennel. Blessed peace at last!

12. Tell girls to go to the bathroom because BY GOLLY we're not stopping the movie for that.

13. Put all phones within reach.

14. Push play.

We have blanket fights over here. For about half the movie, my sister and I struggle to share a small blanket. Finally, one of us will get frustrated enough to get up and get her own.

Speaking of LOUD dogs....Have I ever told you what MY dogs like to do during dinner?
We have to shut our blinds and eat like we're in the Dark Ages, because the dogs bark at anything that moves outside. Howling is probably a more appropriate word. :]

So, what movie did you watch? Chloe holds those titles as well--Movie Wrangler, Snack Obtainer, Light Switch Monitor, and Remote Retriever. Of course, she gets her revenge by placing her head in exactly the right spot to eclipse my view of the screen.
Oy! Remove that planetary object!

Jess, we have the same fights! Actually, we all just keep taking Glenna's away from her.

CC, I'm definitely pro-active when it comes to wanting to see a movie uninterrupted. Plan ahead!

BT, we watched Bruce Almighty. I guess this is to prepare for Evan Almighty, but it was actually a slow night at Blockbuster.

Yeah Chloe! My Dad used to say, "You must be drinking muddy water 'cause I can't see through you!"

Usually, it's the dogs blocking the "beam" from remote to DVD player. How do they know JUST the spot to sit or stand?
