As it Stands

Thank you to all those who have written. It's hard for me to talk about it without getting mad and sick and disgusted.

We did not have collision, therefore we have no coverage.

The cab driver is denying fault at this point, his word against Ty's so there was no citation (no other witnesses).

We will probably have to hire a lawyer to go after their insurance company. If that doesn't work, we continue making payments on a car we can no longer drive, and can't afford to repair (over $2,500 in damage).

I have no idea HOW we were not covered on a car that has a loan out on it. Himself will be calling the bank.

Prayers appreciated.

Lifting you and yours in prayer! I'm glad Ty wasn't injured.

Many times companies choose to settle rather than litigate. I'd pester them to fix the damage!

Hey JLW, wanna go Amish? Think about it... horses, bare feet, no cars, lots of fellowshipping with girlfriends... well, yes, there is that huge workload, and the dresses, and the hair thingy, but...horses, no cars, bare feet appeals to me!

We'll be praying!

I am so sorry. I hope that himself gets this straightened out.

We had to sue a kid for totaling our vehicle. He stole his companies car, was out joy-riding with 3 friends. They rear-ended us. The companies insurance wouldn't pay since he stole the car, and his private insurance wouldn't pay because he wasn't driving his personal vehicle. His mom finally wrote us a check and it bounced 3 times.

Hugs.

Ha! I just realized I wrote JLW and not MRS! Much as I like Himself, it was YOU I was thinking of going Amish with. (I guess we'd better include the guys or our barns won't get built!)

Thank you, all, for your kind remarks! Please pray I will continue trusting God. None of this is taking Him by surprise.

Dadahazareje. . . may I call you Ddhzrj for short? ;-) My initials ARE JLW, so you were talking to me! We have the same initials. :-D
You KNOW I'm all about horses and bare feet (just not around the horses), and the hair thingy would solve SO many problems. . . .

Oh, and I've never stopped praying. :]

I don't understand how you can have a loan and no collision...let me know what the bank says. I thought they would want full coverage to protect their investment? Good luck, my dear.

Finance woes haiku:

It's always something
Braces, water damage, cars
No getting ahead!

You may call me anything you like!

BT, that's EXACTLY what I want to know. How?

How about D? I thought maybe I shouldn't have left all the vowels out and just use the vowels instead, but it came out AAAAEE!!! Then again, that may be appropriate today!

Jess, thank you so much! I was doing Bible with Glenna and Rachel this morning and I "accidently" turned to the wrong verse.

1 Peter 4:12-13 "Do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed."

How quickly I forget; darkness acts like darkness!

I just came from Bible class, where we discussed God's sovereignty and GOOD plan for our lives. At least we can rest assured that He has a plan for your family through all of this, even when you don't understand it!

God is good, ALL the time! :D
Rest in the glory of His goodness! There is great comfort found there.

Love,
Jessie
